CJI DY Chandrachud said the Collegium system is best for the appointment of judges and that there is no pressure on the judiciary. "Not every system is perfect but this is the best system we have developed," he said. Responding to Law Minister Kiren Rijiju expressing displeasure over the system, Chandrachud said, "We are bound to have differences of perceptions."
