Colorectal cancer rises to India's 4th most common cancer: Report

WHO-IARC's GLOBOCAN 2024 report shows colorectal cancer is now India's fourth most common cancer, up from sixth place in 2022, attributed to lifestyle changes, obesity and poor diets. Experts warn that younger adults are increasingly being diagnosed with it and stress that early screening, healthy eating and timely treatment can significantly improve survival and help prevent the disease.
