US cable giant Comcast on Saturday outbid Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox and its powerful backer, Disney, to buy one of the UK's biggest broadcasters Sky for $39 billion. Both the companies were bidding for a 61% stake in Sky, where Fox already owns a 39% stake. Sky has recommended its shareholders to accept Comcast's bid.
