Comedian Khyali booked for allegedly raping 25-yr-old woman in Jaipur hotel room

Comedian Khyali Saharan has been booked for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman in a Jaipur hotel room. Police said the complainant and another woman came in contact with Khyali seeking help for a job. At the hotel, he allegedly consumed beer and forcibly asked the women to drink. Later, one of them left and he raped the other, police said.

Waqf Boards acquired 21 lakh acres of land in last 12 years: Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah said Waqf Boards in India owned 18 lakh acres of land from 1913 to 2013 (100 years). However, this increased by 21 lakh acres in last 12 years (2013-2025), bringing the total to 39 lakh acres, Shah said. He said 20,000 properties were originally recorded as leased, but in 2025 none of these are leased properties.

Pharma products comprise nearly $9 billion worth of exports from India.

"Russia isn't on this list because sanctions from the Ukraine war have already rendered trade between the two countries to zero," a White House official told news outlet NOTUS. Trump imposed a 26% reciprocal tariff on India.

A senior Indian government official said the Commerce Ministry is analysing the impact of the 26% tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian goods. "It's a mixed bag and not a setback for India," the official told PTI. The official said that 10% universal tariffs will come into effect from April 5 and remaining 16% from April 10.

US President Donald Trump announced that 26% "discounted" tariff will be imposed on imports from India. Trump called India "very, very tough", saying, "PM [Narendra Modi] just left. He's great friend of mine, but I said, 'You're a friend of mine but you've not been treating us right'." India charges 52% tariff on goods it imports from US, Trump noted.
Waqf Amendment Bill passed in Lok Sabha

The Lok Sabha passed the Waqf Amendment Bill with 288 votes in its favour and 232 votes against it, after a discussion that lasted over ten hours. The changed bill said that at least two non-Muslims should be part of Waqf Boards. During the debate, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said even the Parliament building was being claimed as Waqf property.
