Common food dye found to make skin and muscle temporarily transparent: Research

A common food dye can make skin, muscle and connective tissues temporarily transparent, researchers at Stanford University have found. Researchers were able to see liver, intestines and bladder of a mouse after applying the concentrated tartrazine solution to its belly. They could also see blood vessels in the rodent's brain after smearing the dye on its scalp.
