The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd revealed that its services on the Purple Line were disrupted for 18 minutes on Thursday evening after a commuter's metal chain "had become lodged in the train door guideway, preventing the doors from closing properly". "There was no technical malfunction in the train equipment," it said. The incident happened at the Cubbon Park station.
