Company which helped build Burj Khalifa to shut down, 40,000 may lose jobs

Shareholders of the UAE-based Arabtec Holding, which helped build the world's tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa, have voted to dissolve the debt-laden construction company, putting 40,000 jobs at risk. Founded in 1975, the company is known for some of the UAE's best-known landmarks such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Arabtec was valued at $8.2 billion at its peak in 2014.
