American nonprofit Consumer Reports found "concerning" levels of lead or cadmium in different chocolate products. It tested 48 products from brands such as Hershey's, Ghirardelli, and Nestlé, and retailers like Costco, Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart, and Whole Foods. "Sixteen of the 48 products had amounts above levels of concern for at least one of the heavy metals," the report said.
