Congress candidate Aryadan Shoukath won Kerala's Nilambur Assembly bypoll by over 11,000 votes on Monday. CPI(M)'s M Swaraj secured second position while Independent candidate PV Anvar came third in the bypoll. The voting for the Assembly seat took place on June 19 and had registered 73.26% voter turnout. The bypoll for the seat was announced following resignation of MLA Anvar.
