Congress leader Ajay Rai detained on way to Saharanpur mosque demolition site

Congress' Uttar Pradesh President Ajay Rai was detained on Monday while on his way to the demolition site of a mosque in Saharanpur Collectorate complex. The Congress delegation on the way to meet members of the mosque committee was stopped by the police and taken to Lucknow's Police Lines, the party said. Rai had earlier called the demolition "deeply unfortunate".
