Congress MP Akoijam moves Rouse Avenue Court for anticipatory bail

Congress MP Bimol Akoijam has filed an anticipatory bail plea at Rouse Avenue Court in a sexual harassment case registered at Vasant Kunj North Police Station. After Patiala House Court cited jurisdiction issues — as he is a sitting MP — and granted interim protection till November 2, Akoijam approached Rouse Avenue Court. The plea is listed for hearing Tuesday before Special (MP-MLA Cases) Judge Dig Vinay Singh.
