After a year of preparations for the UP MLC polls, the Congress has decided not to field candidates in 11 Graduate and Teachers' constituencies going to the polls. "The party had decided not to contest the MLC elections...Our focus is entirely on the Assembly polls," newly appointed state Congress chief Aradhana Misra said. Polls will take place on October 23.
