Following the booking of BJP leader Pramod Kondhare for allegedly molesting a senior female police officer, the Congress protested against the BJP. Pune Congress President Arvind Shinde stated, "A senior lady police officer faced molestation by...BJP leader and police are not arresting him." BJP city President Dheeraj Ghate said Kondhare has stepped down from all party responsibilities.
