Congress' UP chief Ajay Rai said BJP candidate from Meerut seat, Ramayan actor Arun Govil, left for Mumbai a day after polling concluded in Meerut. Rai called him a "parachute politician". Issuing a clarification, Govil said, "My respected voters...I stayed with you for one month...Now, on the instructions of the party, I'm in Mumbai to fulfil my responsibilities here."
