The ruling Congress in Telangana continued its political dominance in the state by claiming victory in the three-phase elections to the Gram Panchayats. The main Opposition party, the BRS, however, is not sulking. BRS has specific reasons to be upbeat, even though the Congress had romped home in more than half of the Sarpanch posts polled across three phases.
