Badminton Association of India (BAI) General Secretary Sanjay Mishra alleged that the removal of several sports, which were a part of the 2022 edition, from the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 is a "conspiracy to sideline India's rising sporting potential". "Nearly 40 medals [are] at risk from the dropped events," he added. "It's shocking and a huge setback," Mishra further said.
