Constipation occurs when stool stays too long in the large intestine, becoming hard and dry. Causes include low fiber, dehydration, inactivity, certain medications, or medical conditions like IBS and hypothyroidism. Relieve it by eating fiber-rich foods, drinking plenty of water, and walking 20-30 minutes daily to improve digestion and bowel movement.
