'Constitution has denied Muslim representation,' says Sharjeel Imam; criticised

Sharjeel Imam, who is in jail for his alleged role in 2020 Delhi riots, has been slammed for criticising secular framework and claiming that the Constitution denied Muslim representation. He called the secular framework an "ahistorical vision designed to oppress minorities". Slamming him, ex-MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said, "Can’t wait to hear the views of the 'new age gatekeepers of democracy'."
