Consumer retail inflation hits 19-month low at 2.05% in January

The consumer retail inflation in the country eased to 2.05% in January, the lowest level since June 2017, government data showed. The consumer retail inflation was recorded at 2.19% in December 2018. Additionally, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for the month of December 2018 stood at 133.7, 2.4% higher as compared to the month of December 2017.
