Central Consumer Protection Authority has imposed a fine of ₹3 lakh on VLCC over misleading advertisements on fat-loss and slimming treatments using the US FDA-approved CoolSculpting. Investigations found that the advertisements showed the treatment as a "permanent weight-loss and size-reduction solution", as per the consumer watchdog. It noted that CoolSculpting is "not a weight-loss treatment".
