Cooking may keep ageing brains active, but new recipes matter more

A Japanese study suggests cooking at home at least once a week may be linked to lower dementia risk among older adults. But Indian neurologists caution that the benefit may lie less in routine cooking and more in learning, planning and adapting, keeping the ageing brain actively challenged.
