The death toll from coronavirus in the US has crossed 1,000, with more than 69,000 cases reported across the country. New York City has the highest number of fatalities at 280, followed by 100 in King County, Washington State. Five other countries have death tolls higher than the US — Italy, Spain, Iran, China and France.
