An illegal surrogacy and sperm trafficking racket has been busted by Hyderabad Police, leading to arrest of ten people, including a doctor. This came after complaint by a couple who discovered, through independent DNA testing, that the child born to a surrogate arranged by the clinic wasn't genetically related to them. The couple had paid ₹35 lakh to the clinic.
