A woman accused of killing her rapist by slitting his throat in 2009 has been cleared by a sessions court in Mumbai. The court ruled that the victim's statement, circumstantial evidence, and medical reports proved that she killed in self-defence. The rape victim said she slit the man's throat after he forcibly entered her home and raped her at knife-point.
