An 84-year-old Bengaluru man died on May 17 after testing positive for COVID-19, health officials confirmed on Saturday. The deceased, who had multiple pre-existing health conditions, had been hospitalised since May 13 and his death marked the first coronavirus casualty in the state this year. Karnataka has reported 38 fresh COVID-19 cases, of which 32 are from Bengaluru.
