COVID 1st wave increased heart attack risk for up to 3 yrs among unvaccinated people: Study

COVID-19 infection appeared to significantly increase risk of heart attack, stroke, and death for up to three years among unvaccinated people early in pandemic when SARS-CoV-2 virus strain emerged, according to an NIH-supported study. Further, the study found that hospitalisation for COVID-19 more than doubled risk of heart attack or stroke among patients with A, B or AB blood type.
