"Excessive" pharma profits have created nine new vaccine billionaires since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, People's Vaccine Alliance claimed. "The nine new billionaires have a combined net wealth of $19.3 billion, enough to fully vaccinate all people in low-income countries 1.3 times," it said. It added that eight existing pharma billionaires' combined wealth increased by $32.2 billion.
