The number of coronavirus-related deaths and severe cases at Chinese hospitals have declined by over 70% from peak levels reached in early January, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Wednesday. The number of critically ill patients in China fell to 36,000 on January 23, down 72% from the peak of 1,28,000 on January 4, CDC added.
