COVID-19 PPE contracts worth £3.7 bn appear to be corrupt: Report

Coronavirus contracts worth over £3.7 billion awarded by UK government "raise one or more red flags" for corruption, a Transparency International UK report revealed. It said the way bids were handled appeared to be "systemically biased" towards those with political connections. It found 24 PPE contracts worth £1.6 billion were awarded to those with political connections to the Conservative Party.
