Following a fatal mishap near Mumbra in Mumbai, Central Railway (CR) is expediting the rollout of 15-car local trains in Mumbai. The expansion aims to ease severe overcrowding and improve commuter safety across the Central line. Infrastructure upgrades and phased implementation are underway to support the extended services.
