Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting Union Budget 2025-26, said that credit guarantee cover will be enhanced for MSMEs to ₹10 crore from ₹5 crore. Investment and turnover limit for classification of all MSMEs will be enhanced to 2.5 and 2 times, respectively. She added that government will introduce customised credit cards with ₹5 lakh limit for registered micro-enterprises.
