Credit Suisse has ceased to exist as a separate entity 168 years after it was founded, UBS said. The merger of parent companies of UBS and Credit Suisse was completed on Friday, over a year after Switzerland's biggest bank agreed to buy Credit Suisse for $3.23 billion. The emergency deal was engineered by Swiss authorities to prevent a banking crisis.
