According to reports, Credit Suisse is trying to bring an outside investor to provide funds for a spin-off of its advisory and investment banking businesses. The bank is looking for advisory and deal-making teams alongside the leveraged finance unit for its new boutique-like firm. Sources said talks on reviving the First Boston name for the spun-out businesses are also advancing.
