Operations at one of Delhi's largest cremation facilities, Nigam Bodh Ghat, which is located along the Yamuna river was suspended as the water level of the river continues to rise. "Residents should avoid the facility and instead use the funeral centres in Punjabi Bagh, Panchkuian Road, Sant Nagar, and Ghazipur," an official of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi said.
