Cricketer-turned-actor Salil Ankola, who was former BCCI national selector, is battling severe depression and has been admitted to a rehab centre in Pune. Salil's wife Ria said his mental health struggles began after his mother's demise in 2024. She also revealed that Salil had previously sought counselling in 2012 and had overcome alcohol addiction.
