Beggar Mangilal, who was rescued in Indore and is believed to be a crorepati, had lent about ₹4-5 lakh to people in the Sarafa area and earned daily interest, an official said, adding that he made ₹400-500 per day through begging. The official added, "He never asked for money directly; he simply positioned himself near shoppers until they voluntarily gave."
