Crows make visual decisions twice as fast as humans: Study

A study by researchers at Germany's University of Tübingen found that carrion crows make visual decisions in about 235 milliseconds, nearly twice as fast as humans and monkeys, without sacrificing accuracy. Experiments involving two crows showed that their brains distinguished motion direction in 70 milliseconds. Researchers studied part of crows' brains comparable to prefrontal cortex in humans.
