Crucial evidence tampered in Twisha's death probe; cop let off with ₹5,000 fine

Bhopal Police have acknowledged that lapses occurred during the initial investigation by penalising a police officer linked to the handling of crucial evidence in Twisha Sharma death case. Sub-Inspector Dinesh Sharma was fined just ₹5,000 over procedural lapses involving the seizure of the alleged ligature belt, reportedly crucial evidence in the case. Twisha was found dead on May 12.
