The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have cemented themselves as one of the most successful teams in the history of the Indian Premier League. Several well-known IPL teams currently have not launched WPL sides. To support expansion, the BCCI has signaled intentions to increase the number of WPL franchises in future seasons, creating fertile ground for CSK and others to enter.
