CSK have signed fast bowler Akash Madhwal as a replacement for Ayush Mhatre for the remainder of the season. Mhatre was ruled out with a hamstring injury sustained while batting against SRH on April 18. Madhwal, picked up at his base price of ₹30 lakh after going unsold in the auction, has taken 23 wickets in 17 IPL innings.
