Customer shares bill showing 20% 'cow cess' on 6 beers at Jodhpur eatery, hotel replies

A bill from Jodhpur's Park Plaza showed a customer was charged 20% 'cow cess' for six beers on September 30. The bill showed that the cess was calculated as 20% of the 20% VAT that Rajasthan government charges on alcoholic drinks. Park Plaza said they've been collecting the cess and depositing it on government portals following Rajasthan government's 2018 notification.
