Customer sues PVR INOX after it refuses to accept cash as a mode of payment

An advocate has sent a legal notice to PVR INOX after alleging that its Ahmedabad cinema outlet refused to accept cash for a movie ticket and food, forcing him to pay via UPI. He cited RBI rules recognising banknotes as legal tender and questioned the company's cashless policy. He sought copies of any instructions telling staff not to accept cash.
