Customs reform will be the next big overhaul in the upcoming Union Budget after GST, NDTV reported citing people familiar with the matter. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to dedicate two paragraphs to customs overhaul, which will aim to simplify customs and cut tariff complexities. It will replace multiple exemption and concessional notifications with a single customs notification.
