Cutting ultra-processed foods boosts metabolic health: Study

A controlled feeding study from South Dakota State University found that older adults who ate fewer ultra-processed foods naturally consumed fewer calories, lost weight and belly fat, and improved insulin sensitivity and inflammation. Benefits occurred without calorie counting, showing that replacing ultra-processed foods with minimally processed ones significantly boosts metabolic health.
