Indian weightlifter Ajaya Babu Valluri's father, Srinivasa Rao Valluri, won bronze in the men's 56kg event at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi. Sixteen years later, Ajaya clinched silver in the men's 79kg event at the Commonwealth Games 2026, missing out on gold by just 1kg. He lifted 149kg in the snatch and 181kg in the clean and jerk.
