Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha are on high alert as Cyclone Montha made landfall in Andhra on Tuesday. Heavy rains lashed parts of these states as the cyclone intensified into a ‘severe cyclonic storm’ on Tuesday morning. Twenty-five teams of NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) have been deployed in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, and Puducherry.
