Cyclone Murasu makes landfall along Andhra coast

Days after Cyclone Arnab hit the coasts of Andhra Pradesh, Cyclone Murasu made landfall around 1 am near Andhra Pradesh's Kothapatnam, bringing extremely heavy rains accompanied by high-speed winds touching 150 km per hour. Thousands of people were relocated to safer areas in Odisha, and at least 19 domestic flights were cancelled in Andhra Pradesh.
