The 157-yrs old Calcutta University's world ranking has dropped 100 places to below 700. The alma mater includes Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Rajendra Prasad and SC Bose. No Indian university made it in Top-200 in the QS World University Rankings based on research, teaching, employability and internationalization. Moreover, only 11 Indian Institutes made into the Top-800 with IIT Delhi at 222.
