Mumbai’s dabbawala services will be on a six-day break from March 30 to April 4, a yearly tradition. During this time, dabbawalas return to their native villages to take part in festivals, religious ceremonies, and farming activities. Authorities have requested employers not to deduct their pay. Office-goers are advised to plan ahead for meals.
