Talking about father Mithun Chakraborty receiving negativity from a section of media in the past, Namashi Chakraborty said since Mithun was an outsider, he did not have enough connections to ask media to write good things about him. "And my father never buttered people for his benefit," he further said. Namashi added that media is selective about whom they promote.
